Vor genau zehn Jahren endete der Plandienst der ungarischen NOHABs. Aus diesem Anlaß organisieren der Lokführer István Tamás Kiss, der ehemalige Vorsitzende unserer Stiftung, Ferenc Joó, sowie das Batsányi-Kulturzentrum eine Ausstellung mit dem Titel „Sic Transit Gloria Mundi“, die mit Bildern und Dokumenten die vergangenen Jahre des Plandienstes wieder in Erinnerung bringen wird. Die Eröffnungsfeier wird am 21. 12. 2010, ab 11 Uhr im Batsányi- Kulturzentrum stattfinden (VOKE Batsányi Mûvelõdési Központ, Tapolca, Vasút út 3.). Während der Veranstaltung wird auch das neue NOHAB-Buch des Indóház Kiadó vorgestellt. Die Ausstellung kann bis Ende Januar 2011 an Werktagen besichtigt werden.
Zwar viel später als üblich, wir haben aber endlich die diesjährigen Einkommenssteuer-Spenden erhalten: in 2010 haben die Steuerzahler mit HUF 3141483 (etwa EUR 11500) zu unseren Tätigkeiten beigetragen. An dieser Stelle möchten wir noch einmal allen einheimischen Steuerzahlern – insbesondere den Freunden der NOHABs und der Eisenbahn, sowie Bahn-Angestellten – für ihre Hilfe danken. Auch dafür sind wir sehr dankbar, daß wir seit den Anfängen unserer Tätigkeiten ununterbrochen so großzügig unterstützt werden, und hoffen, daß wir diese Hilfe in den kommenden Jahren ebenso verdienen werden.
A whole decade has passed since the end of the regular service of the Hungarian NOHABs. Organized by locomotive engineer István Tamás Kiss, the former chairman of our group, Ferenc Joó, and the Batsányi Center of Culture, an exhibition will commemorate the event. Titled “Sic Transit Gloria Mundi”, the exhibit will present pictures and documents recalling the service years of the locomotives. The opening ceremony will take place on December 21st at 11 AM in the Batsányi Center of Culture (VOKE Batsányi Mûvelõdési Központ, Tapolca, Vasút út 3.) and will include the presentation of a new NOHAB-related book published by Indóház Kiadó. The exhibition will be open on work days until the end of January, 2011.
Although much later than usual, our foundation has at last received this year's income tax donations, amounting to HUF 3,141,483 (approximately EUR 11,500). We would again like to express our gratitude to all taxpayers, especially railway employees and railway enthusiasts, who supported our activities by offering 1% of their income tax to our group. We are grateful for the exceptional amount of support we keep on receiving since the beginnings of our activities—we hope that the coming years will also prove that we are worth our supporters' donations.
