As some of you probably know, the TMY 106 abandoned and become a parts storage, locomotive generator is broken and then you get 106-ball go in as a donor for her brother TMY 101 that also has something wrong with the alternator I believe. My 1108 was built in 1956 by Nohab in Trollhättan and has served many years for DSB before Tågab bought the locomotive in 1999 by the DSB, the locomotive repainted in U.S. colors as the "Great Northern Railway" along with T43 107 to become movie stars and participate in Lars Von-Trier 's Dancer in the dark where it needed locomotives that would mimic American locomotive. The locomotives have been allowed to keep the colors all the time after filming was completed. The locomotive has no ATC either and is not renovated like the other TMY locomotives Tågab have with back welded door, etc. .. So this TMY I think is in the worst condition internally but with the coolest painting. As a likely "TMY lover" I think they're a little sad that the locomotive may not roll more but but .. 101-ball may continue the roll a few more years, which is not totally wrong according to me anyway Here's a TMY 106 special with the pictures I took the locomotive of the Monday 9/9-13. The engine is lifted out of probably 106-ball sometime this (the coming week) week or the following week! Long live the old-quarks!

Inside the nose here shows the headlights of the locomotive and on the door a cord to the small red tail light that shows on the outside of the locomotive's front door on the nose.

Nice NOHAB (pics)!!!, I get scared that they should became a new color in Germany ,sorry thats sucks !!!. The Great Nothern style is so wonderfull and the only NOHAB with it ,but i know that the painting must be refreshed as well,why not in old style with items of the new owner???!!!.

There are discussions to bring MY 1108 to Germany. We have some sponsors to do that. So, this is this. About the colour : OF COURSSE, this loco will remain his UNBELIEVABLE 'Great Northern'colours - no doubt! But: we will make this Lady quite correct! As an REAL 'GN'! In 1999, TAGAB made some mistakes on the loco, and Lars van Trier did not notice that. Why? He is movie man, not NOHAB-fan! The fences will get silver (NOT green), and the stripe will get golden (NOT white). The rest will stay in pullman green and omaha orange. Is this ok for You?! We will NOT make the errors that the german painter did on so much roundnoses!!!
That sounds very ,very great Axel !!!. I think the German-NOHAB-Fans had a new favourite Loco as well !!!. Hope they come soon to us ,i know thats not easy with the transfer and so on. But haste makes waste !!!.

Es geht um MY 1108, die derzeit in Kristinehamn abgestellt ist. Wir bemühen uns ernsthaft, dieses Teil nach DE zu bekommen. Es gibt Sponsoren (besonders einen), die das ermöglichen könnten. Die einzigartige Lackierung bleibt NATÜRLICH erhalten: pullman green (dunkelgrün) und omaha orange. Aber selbstverständlich NEU lackiert: die Farben haben wir schon. Es geht noch weiter: TAGAB hat 1999 einige kleine Fehler gemacht. Lars van Trier hat das natürlich nicht bemerkt, denn er ist nur Regisseur, kein NOHAB-Fan. Wir schon! Also: die Seitengitter werden silber (statt grün), und der Zierstreifen wird golden (statt weiss) - SO WIE SICH DAS GEHÖRT ! Gefällt euch das?
Wie gesagt wir versuchen das, ob es letztendlich auch klappt, steht in den Sternen.
